1. 武汉大学清退92留学生
坐落湖北省的武汉大学近来清退了92名外国留学生。
武汉大学国际教育学院院长胡焰初表明，这92名学生中有本科生也有研究生。
有些学生因超越校园规矩期限未注册被清退，有些学生因未请假就不参与校园规矩的教育活动或学业不合格而被清退。
自2014年以来武汉大学每年都会检查外国留学生两次，曩昔几年里部分不合格留学生已被校方清退；2017年、2018年分别有184名和109名留学生被清退。

Beijing population falls
北京常住人口现两连降
A blue book released on Saturday showed that Beijing's permanent population has continuously dropped in the last two years. In 2018, the capital's permanent resident population was 21.5 million, 165,000 fewer than in 2017, according to the blue book, issued by the Beijing Population and Social Development Research Center and the Social Sciences Academic Press.

Record applicants for exam
2020考研人数再创新高
A record-breaking 3.41 million people have applied for the national postgraduate entrance examination, which will begin on Saturday and last until Monday, for the 2020 academic year, according to the Ministry of Education. This year the figure has increased 17.6% over the previous year. A total of 2.9 million people applied for the exam for 2019 academic year.
教育部称，2020年全国硕士研究生招生考试将于21-23日举办，报考人数达341万人，较2019年共290万的报考人数增加了17.6%，创下新高。
Data released by an information website for postgraduate enrollment showed the number of students taking the exam doubled in Jiangsu, Sichuan, Fujian, Guangdong and other provinces in the past five years.

Japan ranks 121st out of 153 countries on the global rankings for gender equality, falling 11 places since the last audit, marking its lowest level on record, according to the Global Gender Gap Report 2020 released on Tuesday by the World Economic Forum, or WEF.
